Daddy and His Daughters

Sitting in bed the other night, Phil turned on a song on his phone.  He said, “just listen to the chorus. When I hear this song all I can think of is walking our daughters down the isle on their wedding day.”

When I first heard what song it was, it wasn’t what I expected, I mean, it's a break-up song for crying out loud.

But listening to the words of the chorus, I couldn’t help but cry.

"Too young, too dumb to realize

That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand

Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance

Take you to every party cause all you wanted to do was dance

Now my baby’s dancing, but she’s dancing with another man!"
Bruno Mars ~ When I Was Your Man

When it was over, Phil said, "I don't want to wake up one day and they are married and I missed my chance."

Beyond blessed to have a husband who cherishes our daughters and thank goodness he is still young, they are still young, and it isn’t too late to take them dancing!

Daddy with his daughters…just gets me EVERY TIME!

Some of the best memories are made on normal days, doing normal things...just being there together!

    1. They LOVE their daddy (especially Aven, she is a total daddy's girl)...Mom on the other hand, I'm not all that cool sometimes and they are still little, what will they think of me when they are teenagers!
