Even in Difficult Times

My heart has been burdened recently, not necessarily for me personally, but for others.  From national news to news of close friends, my heart is heavy.  Many people I care about have been dealing with difficult circumstances and my heart breaks for them.

Romans 12:15 says, "Rejoice with those who rejoice, and mourn with those who mourn"

I am not walking through my own valley right now, but I do feel like I am walking beside others in their valleys.  We are intended to be in community with others so we can be supported and support others in times of trials.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance

Sometimes I struggle to make sense of things. Why is there death, illness, grief? I don't know, other than that sin entered the world and broke God's perfect plan.

But I believe that God is good!

And even in times of trial God is FOR YOU.  He says, "fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

"And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him."  Romans 8:28

Even in difficult times, I chose to believe that God is good, He is still on the throne and He loves us; He loves me, He loves you, He loves our loved ones. 

And one day "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
