'Pin'Spired Outfit ~ Mint Top

I pinned both of these pictures for different reasons (one was for the scarf and one was for the neon belt), and as I was trying to figure out what to wear today, I thought I would use the first picture as my overall look and just add the touch of the neon belt from the second picture.  Then I started putting it all together...

Outfit Inspiration:
Mint Top, Neon Accents and Mint Top, Scarf and Boots

My Quick 'Pin'Spired Versions:

My original attempt at the first look (I didn't like the neon belt with the outfit after all)
The glasses complete the look...um NOT
Let's be honest, this is how I would really leave the house...little crossbody bag isn't so practical while running errands with the kids

While I didn't like how the neon belt looked with the outfit above, as I was digging out my cream scarf, I remembered I have a matching neon scarf that I made at a Pinterest party back in December.  I quickly changed and realized I LOVED this version (plus I was feeling girly today and wanted to wear heels anyway!)

Guess I was just feeling the neon today and the pop made me feel much more springy and I branched out of my norm a little while still feeling like myself and not too wild.  While the first look is something I would probably gravitate to on my own, I actually preferred the second look better:)

My Outfit: Shirt (Target last summer), Jeans (Target last summer), Cream scarf (gift from my sister), Neon belt (Old Navy 2 pack this winter), Neon scarf (Pinterest party made out of a $1 teeshirt from Goodwill).

Lesson Learned: Sporting a trend (like neon) is awesome as long as you don't compromise feeling like yourself.  CONFIDENCE IS ALWAYS THE BEST ACCESSORY!
