It is hard to believe that we have been living in Georgia for a month already. It has both flown by and dragged on. Home projects and paperwork have taking up the majority of our days (switching doctors, driver's licenses, insurance, signing up for preschools etc. is a LOT of work). While we have had a lot of logistics to take care of, we have also made time to venture around our new home and take in the sights and tastes of the area and enjoy this adventure that we are on!
Aven was just coloring while we closed on our house
Lunch at The Varsity. Experienced our first sign of southern hospitality when I picked up our tray an older gentleman asked to take it from me and carried it all the way to our table for us before going back to place his own order. So sweet.
Hanging out in the lobby area of the hotel after breakfast. We lived in a hotel for about a week before we could move into our house.
Checking out new gyms in the area...so far we have tried 4 different ones:)
Lunch at the coolest place, The Rustic Couch with delicious smoothies and blackened shrimp tacos
The Flying Biscuit might have been my favorite meal yet, the sugar in the biscuits is addicting.
Playground in the neighborhood, and we have already gotten plenty of use out of it.
Just hanging out on the deck, and playing in the backyard on the playset, right before she stepped on a nail that went through her foot...eek!
Lunch at J Christopher's, the service was great, the food was okay.
The wonderful weather made this walk to the neighborhood pond tolerable, but the hills KILLED me.
Crave Pie was an absolute hit on St. Patty's day (and any day for that matter)
My birthday dinner at Villiage Tavern was surprisingly very enjoyable, the girls were on their best behavior, probably because I let them have soda:)
DaVinci Donuts is no surprise a fast favorite. The chalkboard walls were just an added bonus to the already delicious donuts.
We really do love the lake
Ah, the endless trips to the doctors' offices and other paperwork appointments
Lunch at the Atlanta Bread Co. I think we all like the fact that it is like Panera, but they also have pizza.
We went to see the Easter Bunny at the mall and Aven wasn't a fan.
But both girls really liked the carousel!
This first month we did a LOT of projects to make the house feel like ours. The list has included: master bedroom and closet, laundry room, pantry, office, entryway stairs, dining room, and the playroom. We still have a long list of projects to do, but we are taking Easter Weekend to just relax and enjoy Nana and Papa's visit!
