2 Trimesters Down ~ 1 More to Go

We are officially in the third and final trimester. Thankfully, the second trimester was MUCH easier than the first. No more nausea, headaches or tiredness.

This trimester I did have some little issues with insomnia {see this post} and I had to back down my workouts around week 24 {I am still running, but only about 2 miles now, 3 on a good day, but then I'm sore after} and at 26 weeks I gave in and started wearing maternity pants {the bellyband just wasn't cutting it anymore}. While I am getting bigger, faster this time around, I feel better than I did with Emrie at this point!

Let's do another little comparison between Emrie and BVG2:

Only 12 more weeks until we meet our little girl!!!

My March in Pictures

Since March was my birthday month, I thought it would be fun to take a picture a day to show little bits of life before, during and after turning 28! Here it is:

March 1- I hung picture ledges as book shelves in Emrie's "Big Girl" room.

March 2 - I went to MOPS, where I sit at the Magenta table and I had carried this plate with me to the past 2 sessions trying to return it, but that person hadn't been there for the third time so I left it in the back room. I feel like a part of my MOPS experience is now gone:)
March 3- Phil, Emrie and I at his parents' house before they took me out for my early birthday dinner to Casler's since they were in Australia for my birthday.
March 4- I broke down and bought my first {with many to follow} box of Peeps. I didn't even make it home before I tore into them...Yay for spring!
March 5- Play date with Mr. H and Ms. MG at SweetMamaK's house! I love getting the babies together and what sweet kids they all are {and their mamas are awesome too}!!!
March 6- Phil met us at the park after work since it was such a nice day. Emrie's favorite thing to do was swing and she asked daddy, "up please" over and over if he took her out of them.
March 7- On a whim I packed Emrie up and went to the zoo {we now have a membership so we will be going often}. The weather was 70 degrees and I actually got hot with my sweatshirt on.
March 8- I ventured into consignment shopping for the first time by going to the Indy Kids Consignment Sale. I picked up this piano for $3 and a WHOLE lot of clothes for both girls.
March 9- I have been working on BVG2 baby blanket, but had to take a break to bust out my new serger...can't wait to get started using it!
March 10- Packed Emrie up and took her to the Farmer's Market...Our bounty consists of chocolate, jelly, and pastries!

March 11- I finished my first sewing project with my new serger and made Emrie a pair of spring bell bottom pants! Super proud of my first clothing accomplishment in about 16 years!

March 12- After the terrible winds we have been having, there were a bunch of branches in the backyard that Emrie and I went out to pick up. She found a lacrosse ball and we ended up playing catch for quite some time.

March 13- Zoo date day with Ms. Angie, Elijah and Grace. The kids were so good and the weather was perfect. Emrie probably thinks life is like Disneyland because later that day we ran to the park and got ice cream...Wow Wee!

March 14- I colored my hair with a new color, just a couple shades lighter than I normally do and closer to my natural hair color. It looks okay, but it has a little too much red in it for my liking. Good thing it is semi-permanent. Maybe it is time to give in and have it colored by a pro.

March 15- The Ides of March...And the start of March Madness...Bracket is ready!!! Go Hoosiers

March 16- On my way home from MOPS today I noticed for the first time that there were blooms on the trees. This officially says, "Spring has Sprung!"

March 17- Only root BEER for this mama on St. Patrick's Day {and I also got a shamrock shake from McDonald's and a Ruben from Penn Station, very Irish of me}!!!

March 18- On my birthday morning I woke up to a very happy little girl laughing and running to my bed caring a card and a BLUE BAG!!! Then she and daddy took me to breakfast!!!

March 19- My friend, Courtney and I share a birthday, so we went to dinner at Detour with our other girlfriend Angie who so sweetly got us each a gift!

March 20- Emrie and I drove to Cincinnati to Ikea to get a chair for her room (and return stuff I didn't use for the playroom). While we were there we got to have lunch with my old teaching partner, Jenn and her handsome new son, G! Emrie loved him and kept saying, baby, and laughing!!!

March 21- Another Zoo day, but this time with Kasie and her son H! It is another record breaking heat wave for March!

March 22- The weather has been so wonderful outside that we grilled out almost every night this week, but today we did something a little special and grilled peppers.

March 23-In celebration of one of the neighbor's birthday's, 8 of us women from the neighborhood went to dinner at Divvy and they gave us these delicious carmel for dessert.

March 24- While Phil did lawn work, I finished painting the dresser and nightstand for Emrie's room...lots of work!

March 25- Emrie and daddy read the Sunday paper together!

March 26- After visiting Lowe's twice, Hobby Lobby, 2 different Walmarts and Menard's, we found everything we needed to finish up Emrie's big girl room {I think}. My little shopping buddy/trooper at Menard's...where we didn't save big money, because they didn't have the spray paint I needed.

March 27- I rocked the Indiana Field Hockey shirt to the gym!!! Reminiscing about the good old days in the boiler weight room {minus the belly of course}!

March 28- Grandma and Grandpa Albini came into town from California to visit us and watch my sister, Mallory, play field hockey. Emrie was down for a nap when they arrived, so when she woke up they were more than ready and willing to go get her!

March 29- We spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa going to Dunkin Donuts, the park, Bub's for lunch and Costco!
March 30- My girlfriend, Courtney is an instructor for Pure Barre that is opening this week, so I went to class to practice with her. It is such an amazing workout!!!

March 31- My parents took Emrie with them to Louisville to watch Mallory play field hockey so Phil and I spent the weekend mulching, eating out, shopping and watching movies!
What a great way to send out 27 and kick off 28!!!
